Job Overview

We are seeking a Mid-Level Backup Administrator to join our team in Mumbai or Chennai. This is a Contract-To-Hire role. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in backup and recovery solutions, with a specialized focus on Commvault. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and availability of critical data, implementing disaster recovery strategies, and managing storage capacity effectively.

Qualifications and Skills

• Expertise in Commvault (Mandatory skill)
• Proven experience with backup and recovery solutions, ensuring data integrity and availability
• Strong understanding of data protection principles and technologies
• Proficiency in storage management, including capacity planning and storage allocation
• Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation
• Familiarity with various backup software tools and solutions
• Excellent troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve backup-related issues
• Knowledge of IT security principles, particularly concerning data protection and storage

Roles and Responsibilities

• Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies using Commvault
• Ensure the daily backup processes are running smoothly and data is being backed up correctly
• Monitor and report on backup system performance, addressing issues proactively
• Develop and test disaster recovery plans to ensure data can be restored in case of issues
• Maintain and manage storage resources, allocating space efficiently
• Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure the security and availability of data
• Document backup configurations, processes, and recovery procedures
• Provide support and guidance to other team members on backup and recovery best practices
• Stay updated on the latest backup technologies and best practices to maintain a robust backup environment
