ABOUT JAI HIND PROJECT:

The Jai Hind Project is committed to telling stories of real grassroots heroes and addressing important social issues through powerful films, documentaries, and other media. We aim to inspire audiences to take action through impactful storytelling. We are expanding into new-age films, podcasts, and documentaries to reach a wider audience with authentic and engaging narratives.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a talented Scriptwriter who can conceptualize and craft compelling scripts for new-age films, documentaries, and podcasts for the Jai Hind Project. The ideal candidate should have the ability to bring real stories to life through in-depth interviews and innovative storytelling techniques. This role requires a strong sense of creativity, empathy, and the ability to write for different formats, including visual and audio storytelling.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Scriptwriting for Films & Documentaries:

• Conceptualize and write scripts for new-age short films and documentaries that resonate with today’s audience.
• Research and conduct interviews with grassroots heroes, social reformers, and change-makers to gather authentic stories.
• Bring real stories to life with engaging and emotionally impactful narratives that inspire action.

1. Podcast Writing:

• Write compelling scripts for podcasts, transforming interviews and real-life stories into engaging audio experiences.
• Collaborate with podcast producers to ensure seamless storytelling in audio formats.

1. Interviewing & Research:

• Conduct in-depth interviews with individuals at the heart of the stories, capturing their voices and experiences.
• Research and develop story ideas that align with the Jai Hind mission of highlighting social issues and grassroots change.

1. Collaboration & Idea Generation:

• Work closely with the creative team to brainstorm innovative ideas for stories and new formats (video, audio, etc.).
• Contribute to storyboarding and visual narrative development for film projects.
• Collaborate with editors, producers, and directors to bring scripts to life in final productions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years of experience in scriptwriting for films and documentaries.
• Strong ability to write engaging and authentic scripts based on real-life stories.
• Experience conducting interviews and research for storytelling.
• Excellent written communication skills in Hindustani and English.
• Ability to write for both visual (film) and audio (podcast) formats.
• Creative, out-of-the-box thinking with a passion for social issues and change-making stories.

BONUS SKILLS:

• Experience with directing or producing films/podcasts.
• Knowledge of grassroots movements, social reform, and community development.
• Familiarity with documentary filmmaking processes and storytelling trends.
