Job Summary

The UX/UI Engineer performs a key function in our Product & Engineering team by having knowledge of all stages of software development and working alongside other software engineers & developers, collaborating on the various layers.

Job Objective

UX/UI Engineer is responsible for collaborating closely with the Chief Product Officer & Chief Technology Officer. The goal of this role is to design interfaces and usability components across all aspects of the code base.

Required Skills

Ø You must have 5+ years experience designing mobile interfaces.

Ø You must have 5+ years experience with UI modeling tools such as Figma.

Ø You must have 5+ years experience working with teams to achieve a complete product look and feel (not one off screens)

Good to Have

Ø High English language proficiency

Ø Good written and verbal communication for effective stakeholder communication

Ø Great interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical and research skills

Ø An understanding of well-known cryptographic processes

Ø Must be familiar with critical software product concepts such as ‘MVP’

Past Experience

Ø Must have worked in a startup before.

Education Qualifications

Qualifications from reputable institutions such as:

Ø A degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with a focus on Software Engineering

Ø A diploma or bachelor’s degree majoring in Software Engineering or Information Technology

Roles and Responsibilities

Ø Develop high quality UX/UI plans across the system components including front-end, back-end and mobile applications

Ø Stay current and provide insight on cutting edge design trends, approaches, themes, and vendors

Ø Ensure requirements such as data security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability and reliability are always considered Develop and maintain project delivery and technical systems documentation

Ø Keep job knowledge up to date by studying new development tools and programming techniques

Ø Support the delivery of projects within the work program including project reporting

Ø Support the engagement process with the Chief Product Officer in gathering requirements and contribute to improved project delivery

Ø Undertake UX/UI design and enhancement tasks
