The Quality and Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that our products and services meet all necessary requirements before they reach the consumer. This role will develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance and control systems, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of quality control procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Maintain Quality Management Systems: Create, implement, and update quality management systems (QMS) aligned with industry standards, ensuring continuous alignment with best practices.
  • Monitor and Evaluate Product Quality: Regularly assess educational products and services to ensure they meet predefined quality standards, using both qualitative and quantitative metrics.
  • Conduct Quality Audits and Assessments: Schedule and perform comprehensive internal and external quality audits, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Establish and Enforce Quality Assurance Policies: Develop and enforce comprehensive quality assurance policies and procedures to maintain high standards and consistency across all products and services.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with industry regulations and ensure all products and services comply with relevant laws and standards, reducing the risk of non-compliance.
  • Promote a Culture of Compliance: Educate and train staff on compliance issues, emphasizing the importance of adherence to regulatory requirements and fostering a culture of compliance.
  • Lead Process Improvement Initiatives: Utilize the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) methodology to drive process improvements, enhancing operational efficiency and product quality.
  • Apply 7QC Tools for Analysis and Improvement: Use tools like Pareto charts, cause-and-effect diagrams, and control charts to analyze data and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Implement and Maintain ISO 9001 Certification: Oversee the adoption and maintenance of ISO 9001 standards across the organization, ensuring processes meet international quality management criteria.
  • Manage Lean Six Sigma Projects: Lead projects aimed at reducing waste and improving quality using Lean Six Sigma principles, achieving measurable improvements in processes and product quality.
  • Track and Report Improvement Outcomes: Monitor the impact of process improvements and Lean Six Sigma projects, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Create and update SOPs to reflect best practices and process improvements, ensuring consistency and compliance across the organization.
  • Develop and Maintain Quality Plans: Align quality plans, procedures, and standards with industry best practices (e.g., ISO), ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to quality benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with different departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, fostering a collaborative approach to quality management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Quality Manager, Compliance Manager, or a similar role.
  • Professional certification in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma, CQE).
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance and compliance methodologies.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • Experience in Edtech companies will be an added advantage.
