Job Profile: Assistant Professor for MBA Programme

Job Summary: The Assistant Professor of Business Management will serve as a key member of the academic faculty, contributing to teaching, research, and student mentorship within the field of business management. The incumbent will bring expertise in various areas of business administration, including finance, marketing, research methods, business statistics, business economics, organizational behaviour, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teaching and Instruction:

· Deliver undergraduate and graduate-level courses in general business management, incorporating fundamental concepts from finance, marketing, research methods, business statistics, business economics, organizational behavior, and other relevant disciplines.

· Develop course materials, syllabi, and assessments that integrate knowledge from diverse areas of business administration and provide students with a comprehensive understanding of core business principles and practices.

2. Research and Scholarly Activities:

· Conduct research in the field of business management, drawing upon expertise in finance, marketing, research methods, business statistics, business economics, organizational behavior, and related areas.

· Publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals, present research findings at academic conferences, and engage in collaborative research projects with colleagues and industry partners.

3. Student Mentorship and Advisement:

· Provide academic advisement and mentorship to undergraduate and graduate students, offering guidance on course selection, career pathways, and research opportunities.

· Foster a supportive learning environment through regular office hours, individual consultations, and constructive feedback on academic performance and professional development.

4. Curriculum Development and Program Enhancement:

· Contribute to the development and refinement of curriculum materials for general business management programs, ensuring alignment with industry standards, accreditation requirements, and emerging trends.

· Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary perspectives and experiential learning opportunities into the curriculum, enhancing students' holistic understanding of business principles and practices.

5. Service and Professional Engagement:

· Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and other service activities to support the functioning of the department and the institution.

· Engage in professional development activities, such as attending workshops, seminars, and industry conferences, to stay abreast of developments in the field and enhance teaching and research skills.

Qualifications:

· MBA Postgraduate Degree from a reputed institute with a first-class distinction.

Preferred specializations include:

o Sports Management

o International Business

o Data Science & AI

o E-commerce, Logistics and Supply Chain Management (SCM)

· A doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in business administration, management, or a related field from an accredited institution.

· Previous teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, with expertise in finance, marketing, research methods, business statistics, business economics, organizational behavior, and related areas.

· Demonstrated ability to integrate knowledge from diverse disciplines into teaching and research activities, fostering interdisciplinary learning and collaboration.

· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

· Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals and objectives.
