The Sous Chef at PVR INOX is a critical leadership role within the kitchen, responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in managing all culinary operations. The Sous Chef ensures that high standards of food quality, hygiene, and customer satisfaction are met while supporting the development and training of kitchen staff. This role contributes to creating a premium dining experience that complements the PVR INOX brand.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Kitchen Operations Management:

• Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations and ensure efficient workflow.
• Supervise food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain quality standards.

1. Team Leadership:

• Assist in training, mentoring, and supervising kitchen staff, including Chefs de Partie and junior staff.
• Lead the kitchen team in the absence of the Executive Chef.

1. Menu Development:

• Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design innovative and customer-centric menus.
• Ensure menu items align with PVR INOX’s premium quality and branding.

1. Quality Assurance:

• Monitor food preparation to ensure consistency, flavor, and presentation meet company standards.
• Conduct regular quality checks and address any issues promptly.

1. Inventory and Cost Control:

• Manage inventory levels and ensure efficient use of kitchen resources.
• Work with the Executive Chef to control food costs and minimize waste.

1. Food Safety and Hygiene:

• Enforce strict adherence to food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene protocols.
• Conduct routine checks to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

1. Collaboration with Management:

• Provide feedback and reports to the Executive Chef and F&B Manager regarding kitchen performance and customer satisfaction.
• Participate in planning and executing special events or promotions.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. Educational Background:

• Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field.

1. Experience:

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

1. Technical Skills:

• Expertise in various cooking techniques, menu planning, and food presentation.
• Proficiency in managing kitchen operations and using modern kitchen equipment.

1. Leadership and Communication:

• Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to handle pressure and resolve issues efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
