Role Overview:

The Demi Chef de Partie (DCDP) plays a key role in the kitchen operations at PVR INOX by assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality dishes. The DCDP ensures adherence to food safety standards and works collaboratively with the team to deliver a premium dining experience to guests.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Food Preparation and Cooking:
  • Assist in preparing and cooking dishes as per the menu and standards set by PVR INOX.
  • Ensure dishes are consistently prepared and presented to maintain quality.
  1. Section Management:
  • Manage a designated section of the kitchen (e.g., appetizers, main course, desserts).
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of ingredients.
  1. Quality Control:
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular quality checks to ensure food meets customer expectations.
  1. Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, and other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior kitchen staff as needed.
  1. Inventory and Stock Management:
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate requirements to the Chef de Partie.
  • Minimize waste through efficient use of resources.
  1. Adherence to Policies:
  • Follow PVR INOX’s standard operating procedures (SOPs) and kitchen protocols.
  • Support the implementation of new menu items or changes as directed by management.


Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Educational Background:
  • Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
  1. Experience:
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a high-volume or hospitality environment.
  1. Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends.
  • Familiarity with various kitchen equipment and tools.
  1. Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  1. Food Safety Certification:
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices. Possession of relevant certifications is a plus.


Work Conditions:

  • Rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Standing for extended periods and working in a high-pressure kitchen environment.
