Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and creative Content Writer/Copywriter with a strong understanding of SEO and expertise in creating website content, social media content, and blog posts. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for writing, a keen eye for detail, and an in-depth understanding of political trends, processes, and administration. This role requires exceptional research and storytelling skills, as well as the ability to produce content that engages, informs, and inspires the target audience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Content Creation:
• Develop high-quality, engaging, and SEO-optimized content for websites, blogs, articles, and social media platforms.
• Collaborate with the editorial team to brainstorm creative and innovative ideas for content, including political and social topics.
• Prepare templates and outlines for political content and feature stories.
• Research & Analysis:
• Conduct thorough research on political trends, developments, and industry-related topics to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
• Update previously published content to reflect recent developments and align with current trends.
• Interview political figureheads and use gathered insights to create meaningful and engaging content.
• SEO Optimization:
• Integrate SEO best practices into content writing to enhance online visibility and drive organic traffic.
• Optimize on-page SEO elements, including titles, meta descriptions, and keywords.
• Editing & Proofreading:
• Review content for clarity, tone, structure, and grammatical accuracy.
• Ensure content meets established editorial guidelines and deadlines.
• Social Media Management:
• Craft engaging copy for social media campaigns that align with organizational objectives.
• Monitor and analyze the performance of published content and suggest improvements based on analytics.
• Social Media Writing:
• Craft concise, creative, and impactful captions and posts for Instagram.
• Adapt content to different platforms while maintaining brand voice and relevance.
• Monitor trends on Instagram to incorporate into content strategies.
• Editorial Collaboration:
• Work closely with editors to outline political content templates and structures.
• Proofread and edit content to ensure clarity, tone, and flow.
• Ensure alignment with SEO best practices and brand guidelines.
• Project Management:
• Follow a content calendar to meet deadlines effectively.
• Collaborate with team members using project management tools.
• Manage multiple projects while adhering to deadlines and quality standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Political Science, Journalism, or a related field.
• Proven experience in content writing, copywriting, and SEO content development.
• Strong knowledge of political processes, trends, and administration.
• Proficiency in writing for diverse platforms, including websites, blogs, and social media.
• Excellent communication, research, and fact-checking skills.
• Familiarity with SEO tools, strategies, and analytics.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience with desktop publishing software and project management tools is a plus.
