Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Dubai. This full-time position requires a seasoned professional with 7 to 10 years of experience in cost estimation, contract negotiation, project management, and other essential skills. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical expertise and practical know-how to manage project costs and optimize budgets effectively.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in quantity surveying or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in cost estimation methods and techniques to ensure accurate project budgeting.
  • Extensive experience in contract negotiation to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the company.
  • Expertise in project management to oversee timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation.
  • Solid understanding of risk management practices to identify and mitigate potential project risks.
  • Capability in quantity takeoff to compute the required quantities for materials and labor accurately.
  • Proficiency in budgeting to allocate and manage project funds efficiently for optimal financial performance.
  • Knowledge of value engineering to improve project value through analysis of functions and resources.
  • In-depth understanding of construction law to ensure compliance and address legal matters effectively.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, ensuring accuracy and comprehensiveness.
  • Negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure favorable terms.
  • Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and ensuring financial efficiency.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential issues and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs to determine required materials and labor for construction projects.
  • Work closely with design and engineering teams to apply value engineering principles.
  • Ensure compliance with construction laws and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide regular project reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
