Position Summary:

The Equipment Operator I is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of simple automated assembly machines. Key duties include monitoring machine performance, responding to faults, performing basic setups, and ensuring high-quality assembly of medical devices. The role requires a focus on cleanliness, adherence to procedures, and the ability to operate and troubleshoot equipment with minimal supervision.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment.
  • Read and understand procedures.
  • Operate and start machines, perform setup tasks in electronic systems, and manage inventory.
  • Monitor and adjust machine settings to maintain product quality.
  • Inspect and test products, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Record production data and handle packaging and labeling of finished products.
  • Quickly learn to operate various simple machines and demonstrate flexibility.


Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:

  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word) preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.


Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age.


Travel Requirements:

  • Minimal travel, less than 5%.


Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Use of solvents, glue, or solder.
  • Perform visual inspections with or without magnification.
  • Regularly required to talk or hear, and may need to sit or stand for the duration of the shift.
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 20 lbs.


Work Environment:

  • Clean room environment.
