Position Summary:
The Equipment Operator I is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of simple automated assembly machines. Key duties include monitoring machine performance, responding to faults, performing basic setups, and ensuring high-quality assembly of medical devices. The role requires a focus on cleanliness, adherence to procedures, and the ability to operate and troubleshoot equipment with minimal supervision.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment.
- Read and understand procedures.
- Operate and start machines, perform setup tasks in electronic systems, and manage inventory.
- Monitor and adjust machine settings to maintain product quality.
- Inspect and test products, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Record production data and handle packaging and labeling of finished products.
- Quickly learn to operate various simple machines and demonstrate flexibility.
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word) preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age.
Travel Requirements:
- Minimal travel, less than 5%.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Use of solvents, glue, or solder.
- Perform visual inspections with or without magnification.
- Regularly required to talk or hear, and may need to sit or stand for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 20 lbs.
Work Environment:
- Clean room environment.
