(e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar tools).
○ Conduct detailed analysis of system performance, using tools such as FEA, CFD,
battery performance, cycle life, and safety characteristics under various
conditions.
○ Develop effective thermal management solutions for battery systems to ensure
consistent performance and prevent overheating or thermal runaway.
○ Prototype, test, and validate mechanical designs to ensure functionality, safety,
and efficiency of battery and enclosures.
● Product Lifecycle Management:
○ Support the entire lifecycle of mechanical systems, from initial design through
testing, manufacturing, and implementation.
○ Work with manufacturing teams to ensure designs can be efficiently produced
within cost and time constraints.
○ Ensure product designs adhere to relevant industry standards, regulatory
requirements, and quality control procedures.
● Collaboration and Coordination:
○ Work closely with other engineers, designers, and project managers to integrate
mechanical systems with electrical, software, and other interdisciplinary systems.
○ Coordinate with BOM suppliers to ensure quality components and materials are
used in designs.
○ Collaborate with manufacturing teams to support the scale-up of battery designs
from prototype to full production, addressing any design or manufacturability
challenges.
● Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:
○ Identify, analyze, and resolve mechanical design, manufacturing, and operational
issues.
○ Use root cause analysis techniques to investigate system failures and
recommend solutions for product improvements.
○ Ensure that battery systems comply with industry standards and regulations (e.g.,
UL, IEC, ISO) for safety, performance, and environmental sustainability.
● Documentation and Reporting:
○ Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and reports for internal and external
stakeholders.
