Job Description


Requirement Analysis: Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand the material and equipment requirements for MEP and HVAC projects.

Procurement Strategy: Developing and implementing procurement strategies to meet project timelines and budget constraints.

Sourcing and Supplier Management


Supplier Identification: Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers and manufacturers for materials and equipment.

Vendor Relationships: Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and quality sources of materials.

Supplier Evaluation: Conducting supplier assessments and audits to ensure they meet quality standards and compliance requirements.

Negotiation and Contract Management


Negotiations: Negotiating terms, prices, and delivery schedules with suppliers to secure the best deals.

Contracts: Drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts and purchase agreements with suppliers.

Cost Savings: Identifying opportunities for cost savings through negotiation and strategic sourcing.

Order Management and Coordination


Purchase Orders: Preparing and processing purchase orders based on approved requisitions.

Order Tracking: Monitoring order status, ensuring timely delivery, and coordinating with suppliers to resolve any issues or delays.

Logistics: Coordinating logistics and transportation for the delivery of materials and equipment to project sites.

Inventory Management


Stock Levels: Monitoring and managing inventory levels to ensure adequate supply without overstocking.

Inventory Control: Implementing inventory control procedures to minimize waste and reduce costs.

Replenishment: Planning and executing inventory replenishment based on project needs and consumption patterns.

Quality Assurance


Material Inspection: Ensuring that all purchased materials and equipment meet the required quality standards and specifications.

Compliance: Ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.

Additional Responsibilities

Budget Management


Managing procurement budgets and ensuring expenditures are within allocated funds.

Reporting on procurement activities and budget performance to senior management.

Market Research and Analysis


Conducting market research to stay updated on industry trends, new products, and pricing dynamics.

Analyzing market conditions to anticipate price changes and supply chain disruptions.

Documentation and Reporting


Maintaining accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.

Preparing regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance metrics.

Risk Management


Identifying potential risks in the supply chain and developing mitigation strategies.

Ensuring contingency plans are in place for critical supplies and equipment.
