Job Description

Identifying Needs:

Working closely with the production, engineering, and quality departments to identify the materials and services required.

Sourcing and Vendor Selection:

Researching and identifying new suppliers.

Evaluating supplier credentials, capabilities, and reliability.

Purchase Order Management:

Preparing and issuing purchase orders.

Ensuring accuracy in order details, such as specifications, quantities, and delivery dates.

Negotiation:

Negotiating prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.

Ensuring cost efficiency without compromising on quality.

Quality Assurance:

Coordinating with the quality control team to ensure materials meet the required standards.

Managing returns or replacements for defective goods.

Monitoring Deliveries:

Ensuring timely delivery of goods and resolving delays or supply chain issues.

Tracking shipments and maintaining regular communication with suppliers.

Inventory Management:

Keeping track of inventory levels and anticipating shortages.

Balancing supply with production demands.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintaining detailed records of purchases, suppliers, contracts, and transactions.

Generating reports on purchasing activities and cost savings.
