Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Planning Lead to join our team at DCS Group. As a Planning Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning and coordination of projects in the construction industry. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of project management principles.
Qualifications and Skills
- 4 to 6 years of experience in planning and project management
- Good learning skills and ability to adapt to changing project requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team
- Experience in the construction industry is highly desirable
- Proficiency in planning tools and software
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Coordinate and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
- Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or issues
- Provide guidance and leadership to the project team
- Perform resource allocation and capacity planning
- Conduct regular project status meetings and report on key milestones
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices
- Prepare and present project reports to management

Qualification - B.Tech - civil
Salary - upto 7.5 Lac CTC
Experience - Min. 3+ yrs (in a Project Planning role within the construction industry.), PMP / PSP or APICS Certification in PPC will be an added advantage.

Job Description
● Create detailed project schedules using specialized software (such as Primavera
P6, Microsoft Project) to outline the sequence of activities, timelines, and
milestones for the construction project.
● Allocate resources like manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors
based on project needs and timelines.
● Optimize resource utilization to ensure efficient project execution.
● Identify potential risks that could impact the project schedule.
● Develop strategies to mitigate risks, considering factors such as weather
conditions, unforeseen delays, or material shortages.
● Regularly monitor project progress against the planned schedule.
● Identify deviations and propose corrective actions to keep the project on track.
● Maintain detailed records of project schedules, changes, delays, and other
relevant information.
● Generate reports for stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and
potential issues.
● Collaborate with the cost management team or Quantity Surveyor Team to align
schedules with budgets.
● Monitor expenses related to scheduling changes or delays.
● Analyze past projects to identify areas for improvement in scheduling, resource
allocation, or process efficiency.
