Qualification- B.Tech - civil

Experience- Min. 6+ yrs. in road and highway project (must knowledge of cash flow , MS project and budgeting )

Job Description

A Planning and Billing Engineer in road and highway projects is responsible for project scheduling, progress tracking, cost estimation, and billing processes. They ensure the project is executed efficiently within the planned timeline and budget while maintaining proper documentation and compliance with contractual requirements.

Develop project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project, including WBS (Work Breakdown Structure).

Prepare detailed work programs, considering resource allocation and project milestones.

Monitor project progress and update schedules to avoid delays.

Identify critical paths and potential risks, implementing corrective actions when needed.Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

Estimate material, manpower, and equipment requirements for different work activities.

Verify subcontractor and vendor invoices against actual work completed.Prepare and verify Interim Payment Certificates (IPC) and Running Account (RA) Bills for contractors and vendors.

Conduct site measurements for earthwork, pavement, drainage, and structures (culverts, bridges, etc.).

Ensure accurate documentation of work done, reconciliations, and deductions as per contract conditions.

Coordinate with site engineers and survey teams for verification of executed work quantities.Monitor project costs and ensure expenses align with the approved budget.

Analyze variations in cost and prepare Variation Orders (VOs) or Change Orders (COs) if needed.

Provide reports on material usage, wastage, and cost overruns.
