Job Description


As the General Manager (GM) Commercial in the manufacturing industry, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the commercial operations of our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure efficient procurement, effective sales strategies, and streamlined logistics to maximize profitability and organizational growth.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Planning and Management:


Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.

Analyze market trends and competitors' activities to identify opportunities for growth.

Lead the commercial team in setting ambitious but achievable targets and objectives.


Procurement and Supply Chain Management:

Oversee procurement activities to ensure timely sourcing of raw materials, components, and services at competitive prices.

Optimize inventory management practices to minimize costs while maintaining adequate stock levels.

Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.


Sales and Marketing:

Develop sales strategies and tactics to expand the customer base and achieve sales targets.

Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies as needed to meet or exceed revenue goals.

Collaborate with marketing teams to develop effective promotional materials and campaigns.


Financial Management:

Manage the commercial budget and ensure financial objectives are met.

Analyze financial data (e.g., sales reports, expenses) to improve profitability and efficiency.

Implement cost-control measures without compromising quality or customer satisfaction.


Customer Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and clients.

Address customer concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to enhance revenue streams.


Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to commercial activities.

Identify and mitigate commercial risks through effective risk management practices.


Team Leadership and Development:

Recruit, train, and mentor members of the commercial team.

Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Provide leadership and guidance to ensure the team's performance meets or exceeds expectations.
