Job Summary: The Quality Executive is responsible for ensuring that all printing products meet established quality standards and customer expectations. This role involves overseeing quality control processes, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The Quality Executive will work closely with production teams to maintain high standards of quality and drive continuous improvement in the manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Control and Assurance:
- Implement and monitor quality control processes for printing operations, including pre-press, press, and post-press stages.
- Conduct regular inspections and tests of printed materials to ensure adherence to specifications, color accuracy, and print quality.
- Identify and address quality issues and non-conformities in a timely manner, implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive records of quality inspections, test results, and corrective actions.
- Prepare and present detailed quality reports to management, highlighting key quality metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Ensure all quality documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with industry standards and company policies.
- Process Improvement:
- Analyze quality data and feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement in printing processes.
- Collaborate with production teams to develop and implement process improvements and best practices.
- Monitor the effectiveness of quality improvement initiatives and make adjustments as necessary to enhance product quality.
- Compliance and Regulatory Requirements:
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and certifications relevant to the printing industry (e.g., ISO 9001, G7, etc.).
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices to maintain ongoing compliance and quality excellence.
- Training and Support:
- Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices related to printing operations.
- Act as a resource for quality-related inquiries and support production teams in addressing quality issues.
- Customer Focus:
- Address customer complaints and quality-related concerns promptly and professionally.
- Work to ensure that printed products meet or exceed customer expectations and specifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Printing Technology, Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a quality assurance role within the printing industry.
- Strong understanding of printing processes, quality control techniques, and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in quality management or printing (e.g., Six Sigma, G7 certification) is a plus.
- Experience with specific printing technologies or equipment (e.g., offset, digital, flexographic) is advantageous.
Working Conditions:
- Work primarily in a manufacturing environment with exposure to printing machinery and materials.
- Some lifting and physical activity may be required.
- Occasional overtime or shift work may be necessary depending on production needs.
