Job Overview
We are seeking a Junior Barista to join our dynamic team at Ideal Hospitality. This is a full-time position located in Mumbai, Mumbai Suburban, Andheri, Thane, Dombivli, and Kalyan. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of work experience in a similar role, demonstrating exceptional customer service and expertise in coffee preparation.
Qualifications and Skills
- Customer service (Mandatory skill): Excellent customer service skills to provide patrons with a positive and welcoming experience.
- Coffee shops (Mandatory skill): Prior experience working in coffee shops and familiarity with coffee shop operations.
- Espresso preparation: Proficiency in preparing various types of espresso drinks, adhering to provided recipes and techniques.
- Drink recipes: Knowledge of common drink recipes including specialty coffee drinks and the ability to consistently replicate them.
- Cash handling: Ability to perform cash transactions accurately, including handling cash registers and processing payments.
- Cleaning and maintenance: Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards of the coffee shop and equipment.
- Time management: Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks and maintain workflow during busy periods.
- Attention to detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure all drinks and services meet our quality standards.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, including espresso, lattes, and cappuccinos, according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Provide exceptional customer service, taking orders and answering customer questions with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the coffee bar and customer seating areas.
- Operate coffee equipment such as espresso machines, grinders, and brewers safely and efficiently.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments through the cash register.
- Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Follow health and safety guidelines, ensuring all beverages and food items adhere to company standards.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and contribute to team goals.
