Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Oracle Application DBA to join our dynamic team at iAgami Technologies. This is a full-time position based in Chennai or Tiruchirappalli, requiring a maximum of 10 years of work experience. The Oracle Application DBA will be responsible for managing Oracle databases, ensuring their performance, availability, and security. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Oracle Database Administration and PLSQL. The role requires collaboration with various teams to support business operations and processes.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong proficiency in Oracle Database Administration (Mandatory skill), crucial for managing and maintaining the company's databases effectively.
• Excellent knowledge of PLSQL (Mandatory skill), allowing for robust database programming and development to support application functionalities.
• Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite, enabling the candidate to enhance and support enterprise applications crucial for business operations.
• Skills in Oracle Fusion Middleware to manage and integrate complex application environments within the organization.
• Proficiency in Performance Tuning to optimize database operations and ensure efficient data processing.
• Ability to conduct Backup and Recovery to safeguard data integrity and ensure business continuity.
• Expertise in Patch Management, enabling timely updates and maintenance for security and functionality enhancements.
• Strong Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues quickly, maintaining the uptime and performance of applications.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of Oracle databases including installation, configuration, and upgrading of software and management tools.
• Implement and maintain database security, ensuring compliance with internal and external data protection policies.
• Coordinate with IT and development teams to provide database support and ensure system reliability and performance.
• Conduct regular audits and performance tuning to optimize database efficiency and prevent potential downtime.
• Develop scripts and establish automated processes for database management and reporting functions.
• Lead database troubleshooting initiatives to resolve performance and functionality issues promptly.
• Ensure effective Patch Management, implementing updates and enhancements as needed to optimize database systems.
