About the role:

The assistant operations manager would handle all the regions where we are currently expanding through franchisee model. The role would involve end-to-end management of launch & growth for these Tier 2+ towns.

Roles & Responsibilities:

City Launch and Operations Setup:

  1. Lead the end-to-end process of launching the cab booking service in new cities.
  2. Set up and manage local operations, including driver onboarding and customer support teams.
  3. Coordinate with the local operations team to understand issues, including tech issues, and if required, resolve them in collaboration of product, development & growth teams.
  4. Ensure compliance with local regulations and standards.

Pricing Strategy and Benchmarking:

  1. Develop competitive and sustainable pricing models tailored to the new city's market.
  2. Conduct thorough market research and price benchmarking against competitors.
  3. Continuously monitor and suggest pricing changes if needed based on market dynamics and performance.

Training and Development:

  1. Design and implement training programs for drivers and operational staff.
  2. Evaluate training effectiveness and make improvements as necessary.

Growth and Market Penetration:

  1. Develop and execute strategies to grow market share, customer & driver base in the new city.
  2. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to drive promotional campaigns and partnerships.
  3. Track key performance indicators and adjust strategies to achieve growth targets.

Candidate Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher
  2. 2+ years of previous work experience in business operations
  3. Excellent People Leadership Skills
  4. Both 0 to 1 and 1 to 100 skillsets
  5. Hustler & Bias for Action
  6. Problem Solving Mindset
  7. Previous work experience in mobility, e-commerce & other digital native industries would be an advantage

OKR:

  1. Overall number of rides & % market share
  2. Supply onboarding & availability (# drivers, % available, % acceptable)
  3. User acquisition & retention (# riders, MAU, % retention)
