Job Title: Assistant Director – Corporate Relations 


We are looking for an Assistant Director - Placements, Alumni Relations & Alliances. The position plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between academia and industry, ensuring the successful transition of students from the classroom to the professional world. This position involves establishing strong industry connections, coordinating placement activities, and providing comprehensive support to students in their career development. 


Key Responsibilities: 

Industry Connect:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with companies, organizations, and industry professionals to understand their recruitment needs. 
  • Regularly add new industry players, designers, alumni, and recruiters to enhance the institute’s network. 

Student Guidance:

  • Provide career counseling and guidance to students on resume building, interview preparation, and professional development. 
  • Enhance student employability through tailored support. 

Placement Coordination:

  • Coordinate campus interviews, pre-placement talks, and placement drives. 
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to facilitate decision-making processes and ensure timely hiring. 
  • Conduct market trend analyses to anticipate future recruitment needs and develop aligned recruitment strategies. 

Networking Events: 

  • Organize and participate in networking events and industry seminars to promote students and build partnerships with potential employers. 

Internship Programs:

  • Develop and manage internship programs in collaboration with industry partners to provide practical work experience for students. 

Performance Tracking:

  • Track and analyze placement trends, student feedback, and recruiter satisfaction to improve placement outcomes. 

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with placement policies, guidelines, and legal requirements from regulatory bodies. 

Professional Development:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, job market dynamics, and best practices in placement management. 

Additional Responsibilities: 

  • Encourage companies to hire students by leveraging campus placements and internship opportunities. 
  • Serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) for all career services events and programs. 
  • Handle student counseling and queries, possessing comprehensive knowledge of course curricula. 
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Travel extensively and work within stretched timelines as required. 
  • Collaborate across various courses and campuses.

  • Strong networking, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities with attention to detail. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. 
  • Knowledge of employment regulations and industry standards related to placements. 
  • Strong presentation abilities and out-of-the-box thinking.
