Job Summary:

As a Database Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust database solutions that meet the evolving needs of our organization. Your role will involve ensuring the performance, security, and scalability of our database systems while adhering to industry best practices and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with development teams to integrate databases with applications.
• Analyze database performance issues and implement solutions to optimize performance.
• Monitor and tune databases to ensure efficient performance and resource utilization.
• Develop and implement indexing strategies to enhance query performance.
• Implement database security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Develop and enforce database access controls and policies.
• Design and implement scalable database architectures to support growth and high availability.
• Develop strategies for database replication, clustering, and failover to ensure continuous availability.
• Implement disaster recovery plans and conduct regular testing.
• Plan and execute data migration projects to move data between systems without data loss.
• Develop and manage data replication processes to ensure data consistency across multiple databases.
• Provide support for data integration and transformation activities.
• Design and implement data warehousing solutions to support business intelligence and analytics.
• Develop ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
• Ensure data quality and consistency within the data warehouse.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Experience: 5+ years of experience in database, with a strong focus on MySQL and MsSQL.

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in performance optimization and tuning.
• Strong knowledge of database security and compliance standards.
• Experience with scalability and high availability solutions.
• Proficiency in data migration and replication techniques.
