We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of a Consultant Specialist.


In this role, you will:

  • The primary responsibility of the role is to work on software testing related requirements received from the business. This involves working on change requirements to the existing systems and also manage testing new software functionality based on inputs received from business.
  • Role requires the individual to be self-driven, able to work with minimal guidance and supervision, collaborate with the development and vendor team members to help the team to deliver commitments.
  • Good communications skills are essential as day to day work is discussed as part of the team scrum meetings.
  • Should be able to work and deliver well under pressure against targets set if required. Maintain and exceed existing SLA’s and ensure compliance to HSBC policies at all times.
  • Actively participate in achieving organizational efficiency objectives and undertake analysis on day-to-day work to drive automation on deliveries thereby reducing repetitive and standardized tasks / processes.
  • Promotes and takes accountability for quality; identifies opportunities to improve delivery and oversees the governance process to reduce risk and ensure effective and timely decisions
  • Promote a positive work culture based on respect for people, integrity of actions, creativity and collaboration leading to increased productivity

Requirements


To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • 8-10 years of experience as a quality analyst. Worked as QA/ automation tester in Agile Scrum Project.
  • Should have good communication skills, capable to analyze the requirement in detail and identify the gaps if any at initial stage and highlight it.
  • Should be vigilant to identify the issues/risks well in advance to avoid later stage issues.
  • Should have worked on all the processes in Testing life cycle and conversant of defect life cycle.
  • Experience of working on banking domain, preferably Pricing and Billing.
  • Create and review test plan, test strategy, test approach.
  • Test preparation and execution based on the requirements, review Test Preparation and manage test execution
  • Defect Management – Tracking defect, planning defect triage calls
  • Experience in creating and circulating status reporting and dashboards.
  • Well versed with SQL and Unix commands
  • Knowledge of Jira, Confluence and Agile methodologies, Sprint, Story Points, Task Estimations during sprint planning.
  • Automation development preferably using TOSCA
  • Release Warranty period support
  • Work with Vendor during vendor product testing
