Desirable Knowledge & Experience:

 Strong experience in running marine or large industrial workshop: reconditioning of marine

machinery such as cylinder heads, aircompressors, pumps with documented work done

reports

 Calibration of marine spare parts

 Capable of designing new procedures and controlling inputs

 Collate reporting of juniors and prepare MIS indicating workshop activities

 Must understand, comply and enforce all safety rules and company policies

 Ability to read and understand maker manuals for clearances, overhauling procedures,

matching parts to requirements, etc.

 Interface daily and as required with the MD about work priorities and progress of projects

 To ensure that the activities of the workshop are well coordinated in order to complete the

jobs received within the allocated time frame, quality parameters, class requirements and

budgeted cost

 Monitors and controls consumables and spare parts availability in the workshop and order

when stock needs to be refilled.

 Oversee inventory sheet maintenance process – ensuring accuracy of data input

 Work closely with client logistics and field staff to identify and remove obstacles

 Creates and supports an environment in which open communications occurs between

departments, clients and third parties as required.

 Monitor team members' participation to ensure the training they are being provided is being

put into use, and also to see if any additional training is needed
