Job Overview
We are looking for a Steward to join our clients team at which is a 4 Star Hotel in Mysore. As a Steward, you will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent service and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This is a Full-Time position based in Mysuru, Karnataka, India.
Qualifications and Skills
- 1 to 3 years of experience as a Steward or in a similar role
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and handle pressure
- Basic math and cash handling skills
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Flexibility to work in shifts and weekends
- Prior knowledge of restaurant POS systems is a plus
- Able to speak Kannada would be preferred
Roles and Responsibilities
- Greet and seat customers in a timely and friendly manner
- Take customers' orders accurately and relay to the kitchen staff
- Serve food and beverages to customers in a professional and efficient manner
- Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns or issues
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the dining area and workspace
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of tables and chairs
- Handle cash and process payments accurately
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and smooth service
- Adhere to health and safety regulations
- Upsell menu items and promote special offers to customers
