This position is responsible for driving the sales of Index services to Mutual fund houses, financial institutions, Insurance Companies, and other professional bodies. This position performs all aspects of sales including sales strategy, planning, communication, initial discussion, sales pitch, negotiations, final offering and after sales resolution. While the position will report to the CEO it is expected that the person will proactively interact and coordinate with various works associated with product development, marketing and feedback seeking from the prospective clients.
Key Accountabilities:
Will need to interact with financial institutions like mutual funds, insurance companies, alternative funds, PMS, Stock Broking entities, Institutional Investors and Pension Funds etc. mainly in India to begin with, later the scope could expand to cover geographies outside.
Manage the sales funnel with initial focus on prospecting, opportunity qualification, and needs analysis.
Conduct due diligence and outbound calls /meeting to identified prospects.
Set up meetings and conference calls with prospective clients. Prepare proposals for presentation to prospects.
Should be able to independently prepare contents for research-based sales communication.
The role will involve initiating discussions, presenting company's products and services, contract negotiations and closure, managing ongoing client relationships.
The person will also have to coordinate addressing client queries and troubleshoot issues by coordinating with internal teams.
Desired Exposure and Experience:
Experience in institutional sales of index and data services or similar other financial products relating to Investment functions /Portfolio management/Equity and Debt research etc.
In-depth understanding of financial markets and instruments, indices, data services business
Experience of dealing with top financial institutions
Self-starter with ability to identify market opportunities, match products to client to handle cycle of sales.
Qualifications: MBA– Finance / CFA /CA
Good communication skills – both written and verbal
