Duties & responsibilities

• End-to-end procurement of raw material at competitive rates
• Ensure raw materials quality is as per companys compliance policies
• Analyze existing purchasing processes for performance improvement
• Implement improvements to existing purchasing processes and delivery systems
• Handle contract negotiations with vendors and suppliers
• Conduct market intelligence and competitive analysis to come-up long term / short term position strategies.
• Identify and develop ideal suppliers based on quality, cost and reliability
• Coordinate with the Innovation team to understand various raw material needs and plan things accordingly.
• Responsibilities include negotiating long-term contracts, identifying alternate sources for raw materials, and overseeing purchase activities for long-term projects and new product launches.
• Analyze data to identify trends and improve procurement processes.
• Monitor and track supplier performance to ensure compliance with contract terms and service level agreements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Prior experience working in the purchasing department in the food or beverage industry is required
• Strong understanding of the market conditions and trends
• Strong knowledge of negotiation techniques in the industry
• Exceptional interpersonal and social skills to build a good rapport
