Job Overview
We are seeking a Banquet Captain to join our team at the Hare Krishna Movement in Chennai. This is a full-time, junior-level position suitable for candidates with 1 to 3 years of experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong event coordination, customer service, and food and beverage knowledge skills. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our events and services, contributing to the overall mission of our organization.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience of 1-3 years in event coordination, enhancing guest experiences and ensuring event success.
- Exceptional customer service skills to address and fulfill guest needs effectively and promptly.
- In-depth food and beverage knowledge to guide menu selections and ensure service excellence (Mandatory skill).
- Strong team management skills for directing and motivating staff during events to meet desired outcomes.
- Effective problem-solving abilities to swiftly address issues and maintain seamless event operations.
- Clear communication skills to coordinate with team members and interact professionally with guests.
- A keen attention to detail to ensure all event aspects are flawlessly executed and service quality maintained.
- Excellent time management to balance multiple tasks and ensure events proceed according to schedule.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate events from start to finish, ensuring all services align with guest expectations.
- Lead banquet staff, delegating tasks, providing guidance, and maintaining a high level of service.
- Communicate effectively with guests to understand their requirements and provide personalized service.
- Ensure all food and beverage orders are accurately executed and serviced according to standards.
- Handle any complaints or issues on-site promptly, ensuring guest satisfaction is prioritized.
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate efficient event setups and seamless operations.
- Maintain inventory and supplies of banquet equipment and report any discrepancies or needs.
- Assist in the training and development of banquet team members to enhance service quality.
