Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled AC Technician to join our team at the Hare Krishna Movement in Chennai. This is a mid-level, full-time position that requires expertise in maintaining and repairing air conditioning systems within our premises. The role is pivotal in ensuring comfortable environments for both visitors and residents involved in our various spiritual and community activities.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in handling refrigerants, ensuring safe and effective operation of AC systems (Mandatory skill).
• Strong air quality control capabilities to ensure the highest standards in environmental safety and efficiency (Mandatory skill).
• Experience in performing preventive maintenance for a variety of air conditioning systems (Mandatory skill).
• Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC systems to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain efficiency.
• Adept in electrical troubleshooting to diagnose and address system failures promptly.
• Excellent customer service skills to interact effectively with both staff and community members.
• Technical skills with a focus on upgrading and keeping up with the latest AC technologies.
• Keen attention to detail to ensure all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Conduct regular maintenance of all air conditioning units within the organization's premises.
• Diagnose malfunctions and undertake necessary repairs to keep systems running efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules and completed work for future reference.
• Work collaboratively with the facilities team to plan and execute large-scale system installations or upgrades.
• Advise on the purchase and installation of new units, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to standards.
• Provide expert guidance and training to less experienced staff when necessary.
• Ensure all AC systems meet relevant health and safety regulations through regular inspections.
• Respond promptly to emergency repair tickets to minimize downtime and service disruption.
