Job Description

-       Improve vendor relationships; continuous cost reduction initiatives

-       Addition of new vendors both local and imported material

-       Awareness on price and market trends for commodities to achieve optimum control on cost

-       Good understanding on Import Purchases; dealing with import suppliers, CHA and custom procedures with understanding of landed cost and forex matters

-       Inventory control, monitoring and creation of base stock as per ABC method; obsolete and slow-moving stock management

-       Optimum control and reduction in cost with job worker

-       Regular Data Analytics on purchases to reduce cost and improve cash flow

-       Process Improvement and SOP in purchases and inventory control

-       Periodic physical verification of inventory to identify gaps and build system

-       Co-ordinating with Department Heads for timely material planning for zero production loss

-       Periodic Capex purchases for projects both equipment and civil work.

Special Skills:

-       Strong commercial understanding with basic knowledge of Accounting, GST, Transportation cost, CIF – FOB / landed costing; conversion, yield and forex impact

-       Strong negotiation and people handling skills

-       Good communication and e-mail drafting skills with all stakeholders

-       Strong knowledge of supply chain management and its impact

-       Worked on an ERP and advanced excel tools

-       Managing Deadlines and crisis

Education & Essentials:

-       CA (Inter) / CMA / MBA /Engineer Or Graduate with requisite skills will be considered
