The Membership Ambassador serves as the face of the organization, responsible for driving member engagement, fostering positive relationships with new and existing members, and ensuring an exceptional membership experience. This role plays a critical part in promoting the benefits of membership, increasing retention, and encouraging member participation in organizational activities, events, and programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Member Outreach & Engagement:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for prospective and current members, answering inquiries, providing information, and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Welcome new members, providing orientation and guidance on membership benefits, programs, and resources.
  • Follow up with existing members to ensure their needs are met and encourage active participation in events and initiatives.
  • Membership Recruitment & Retention:
  • Promote the value and benefits of membership to potential members, encouraging sign-ups and renewals.
  • Work with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns to attract new members.
  • Monitor member engagement, identify at-risk members, and take proactive steps to address concerns and improve retention rates.
  • Event & Program Coordination:
  • Assist with the planning and execution of member-focused events, including webinars, networking sessions, and social events.
  • Help ensure smooth logistics and high member participation in events and programs.
  • Encourage members to attend events, participate in community activities, and take advantage of available resources.
  • Member Feedback & Advocacy:
  • Collect feedback from members to identify areas of improvement and provide insights to management on member needs and concerns.
  • Act as an advocate for members, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are addressed.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on membership metrics, including growth, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Administrative Support:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date member records in the membership database.
  • Assist with processing new memberships, renewals, and cancellations.
  • Support the Membership Manager with administrative tasks as needed, including preparing reports, updating member lists, and sending communications.
  • Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., marketing, events, communications) to develop strategies and initiatives that enhance the member experience.
  • Contribute to team meetings, share insights, and participate in brainstorming sessions to improve member engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in customer service, sales, or membership-related roles. Experience in a non-profit, professional association, or membership-driven organization is a plus.
  • Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build relationships with diverse individuals and groups.
  • High level of customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working with CRM or membership management software.
  • Event planning and coordination experience is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
