Role and Responsibilities:

• Define and implement automation test processes, strategies, and approaches for complex test requirements with support from the Technical Architect and secure buy-in from stakeholders.
• Develop test assessment strategies for client projects. Analyze competitive products and technologies, providing suggestions (including demos and POCs) to influence product/technology direction.
• Apply a practical approach to complex product testing, focusing on automating test cases for regression testing.
• Innovate and proactively use current technologies to create extensible automation infrastructures.
• Review product requirements, functional and design specifications to prepare automated test cases.

Skills and Experience:

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
• Over 10 years of experience in automation testing.
• At least 4 years of experience in an Automation Architect role.
• 4 to 5 years of experience in software automation and related tools, frameworks, and infrastructures.
• Proven experience in software development, with a focus on building frameworks from scratch.
• Strong proficiency in Java and OOPS concepts.
• Experience with coding skills.
• Extensive experience in automation testing using Selenium with Java and API automation with Rest Assured.
• Experience with CI tools like Jenkins and Git, Maven.
• Hands-on experience with frameworks like Cucumber.
• Basic knowledge of SQL for querying and managing relational databases.
• Ability to convert JSON data to Java objects and vice versa using libraries like Jackson.
• Thorough understanding of Sprint Planning, Execution, Review, and Retrospective.
• Responsible for driving sprints or releases to closure.
• Excellent in writing functional and technical documentation.
• Experience in the retail and e-commerce domain is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication, interpersonal, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
