Job Responsibilities for Mechanical Designer

· Should have excellent working experience on SolidWorks.

· Prepare calculations on the proposed machine before completing technical drawings

· Creates CAD models, including part and assembly drawings, Bill of Materials (BOMs) to

support manufacturing, testing, and assembly, and support components to assist with assembly.

· Should be excellent working on Weldment, Sheet Metal, Simulation, Part assembly, FEA.

· Sketch and draw up designs using input from engineers and the production team

· Calculate factors like tolerance, dimensions, and thermal and structural analysis

· Create designs in line with company procedure, regulations, and client standards

· Submit drawings to upper management and construction teams

· Use customer feedback and data to upgrade, improve or repair the company's existing machines

· Provide support during the building and installation process, ensuring that the machine is built properly and according to design specifications

· Finalize designs and send prints to the production department

· Inspect raw materials to ensure consistency and integrity

· Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for production.

· Ensure raw material used in the product is as per design requirements.

· Ensure parts going to the vendor for further work meet customer expectations and as per design.

· Write reports to document deficiencies and errors of products

· Inspect products to ensure that they meet quality standards

· Disassemble product parts to inspect them individually

· Monitor production operations to ensure conformance to company specifications

· Ensure that the parts received from the third party vendors like CNC cutting and bending system suppliers to ensure that they are as per the given dimensions and tolerance – then only accept the parts

Qualifications for Mechanical Designer

· 2+ years' Industrial experience in an engineering role or related experience

· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

· Excellent problem-solving skills

· Strong knowledge of SolidWorks modeling, drawings, and machine design with experience in design, and analyses.

· Good understanding of manufacturing processes including turning, milling, and welding. Strong computer and mathematical skills

· Flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to change

· Able to work in a team environment

· Self-motivated attitude and the ability to use initiative
