Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Logistics Head to join our team in Mahasamund. This full-time senior position is designed for individuals with a deep understanding of logistics operations and a strong capacity for strategic planning. The ideal candidate will have a profound expertise in transportation management systems, budgeting and cost control, and import/export operations, along with a solid foundation in supply chain optimization.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven expertise in transportation management systems with the capability to implement and oversee logistics solutions effectively. (Mandatory skill)
• Strong proficiency in budgeting and cost control processes, ensuring operational efficiency and financial prudence. (Mandatory skill)
• Extensive experience in import/export operations, including compliance with international trade regulations. (Mandatory skill)
• Ability to optimize supply chain processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs, driving business growth.
• Experience using inventory management software to maintain accurate stock levels and anticipate demand changes.
• Proficient in data analysis for generating insights and supporting decision-making processes in logistics management.
• Strong vendor management skills, facilitating effective partnerships and negotiations with suppliers.
• Experience in procurement processes to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee logistics strategies that align with the company's objectives, ensuring the seamless delivery of products and services.
• Lead the logistics department in managing transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations to optimize efficiency.
• Analyze logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards in logistics operations and supply chain management.
• Manage relationships with external logistics providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service levels meet business requirements.
• Coordinate with other departments to facilitate integrated logistics planning and execution.
• Oversee the budgeting for the logistics department, managing resources effectively to achieve financial targets.
• Implement systems and processes for effective monitoring of logistics operations, ensuring data accuracy and timely reporting.
