Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Waiter/Waitress Captain for various Hotels and Resorts in Kerala. As a Waiter/Waitress Captain, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of the dining area, ensuring excellent customer service, coordinating with the kitchen staff, and training new waitstaff. This is a part-time or full-time position based in Cochin, Kerala, India. We offer a competitive salary and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing company.

Qualifications and Skills

• 1-3 years of experience as a Waiter/Waitress Captain or similar role
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong leadership and organizational abilities
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and multitasking skills
• Knowledge of food and beverage operations
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations
• Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Certification in food safety is a plus

Roles and Responsibilities

• Oversee the smooth operation of the dining area and ensure excellent customer service
• Greet and seat customers, take orders, and serve food and drinks
• Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery
• Train and mentor new waitstaff members
• Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
• Upsell menu items and promote special offers
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
