Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Purchase Manager for a full-time, senior-level position at GREATBELL HR Consultancy Services PVT LTD. The successful candidate will work across multiple locations, including Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode, and Thrissur. The ideal candidate will possess 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience and excel in managing supplier relationships and procurement processes.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in supplier relationship management to maintain and strengthen long-term partnerships with vendors.
- Strong negotiation skills to effectively manage pricing, quality, and delivery terms with suppliers to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to integrate and manage purchasing data efficiently.
- Advanced cost analysis abilities to identify opportunities for cost savings and improve procurement performance.
- Proficiency in supply chain analytics to evaluate procurement strategies and optimize stock levels.
- Experience in purchasing books from both English and Malayalam publishers, ensuring a diverse inventory.
- Adept at coordinating with vendors and internal teams to resolve process and operational issues promptly.
- Capability to set and maintain stock levels according to the production plan, ensuring business continuity.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire procurement process, from selecting suppliers to negotiating contracts and finalizing purchases.
- Formulate and implement purchasing strategies that align with the company's business objectives and financial goals.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all purchasing-related activities, ensuring effective collaboration between vendors and internal departments.
- Conduct regular market research to stay updated on industry trends and identify new suppliers for business expansion.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, pricing, or delivery to maintain service standards.
- Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations throughout the procurement process.
- Lead and mentor a team of procurement staff to enhance their skills and improve departmental efficiency.
