Job Overview
We are seeking a mid-level Purchase Manager to join with one of leading clients in Print and Publication Industry. This is a full-time position located across multiple sites, including Kottayam, Cochin, Ernakulam, Alappuzha, Kollam, Idukki, and Pathanamthitta. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing the supply chain, periodicals, and purchases. The role demands a proactive approach to procurement processes within the organization.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient in managing and optimizing the supply chain process to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement. (Mandatory skill)
- Experience with periodicals to oversee the subscription and distribution process accurately. (Mandatory skill)
- Strong ability in handling and negotiating purchase agreements and contracts. (Mandatory skill)
- Understanding and experience in using SAP ERP systems for effective management of procurement activities.
- Ability to navigate the publication industry effectively and leverage print media networks.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage and prioritize multiple purchasing needs effectively.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders seamlessly.
- Analytical skills to assess market trends and implement cost-saving measures in procurement.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end purchase functions of the company with a strategic approach to procurement activities.
- Develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures for efficient procurement operations.
- Work in conjunction with other departments to forecast and meet their supply needs effectively.
- Negotiate supplier agreements and contracts to secure the best possible terms and conditions.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate orders to maintain consistent supply without overstocking.
- Evaluate supplier performance and manage relationships to ensure timely deliveries and quality service.
- Address any issues or discrepancies that arise in the supply chain process promptly.
- Prepare reports and analysis on purchasing metrics to inform decision-making and improve processes.
