Job Overview


We are looking for a Purchase and Stores Supervisor or Executive for a leading Resort Group near Alleppey. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the purchase and stores operations for our clients in the technical and hospitality industries. You will ensure that the procurement process is efficient and cost-effective, and that the inventory management is well-maintained. This is a mid-level position requiring 4 to 6 years of experience.


Qualifications and Skills


  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in purchase and stores management, preferably in the technical or hospitality industries.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes and inventory management.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership and supervisory skills.


Roles and Responsibilities


  • Manage and oversee the purchase and stores operations for our clients.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, reliability, and price.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper stock management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand and plan purchasing activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
  • Evaluate suppliers' performance and take appropriate actions to address any issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations.
  • Supervise and train a team of purchase and stores staff.
