Job Overview
We are hiring a Senior Accountant for our Mugalivakkam office in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. This is a full-time position with a requirement of 7 to 10 years of experience. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing general accounts, Tally, GST, bank reconciliation, general ledgers, and accounts payable (AP).
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 7 to 10 years of experience in an accounting role
- Strong knowledge of Tally and other accounting software
- Experience with GST filings and documentation
- Excellent understanding of general accounting principles
- Proficient in bank reconciliations and general ledger management
- Familiarity with accounts payable (AP) processes
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the company's general accounts
- Handle Tally entries and maintain accurate financial records
- Prepare and file GST returns
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Maintain and reconcile general ledgers
- Manage accounts payable (AP) and ensure timely payments
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies
- Provide financial analysis and reports as required
