Job Overview

Senior Accountant with 7 to 10 years of experience in Accounting, Financial Statements, TDS, GST, Vendor GRN, Tally & Quickbooks, and MIS. Full-Time role based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in Accounting principles and practices
• Experience in Financial Statements preparation
• Knowledge of Tax Deducted At Source (TDS) and Goods and Services Tax (GST) regulations
• Familiarity with Vendor GRN processes
• Hands-on experience with Tally & Quickbooks
• Ability to create and interpret Management Information Systems (MIS)

Roles and Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial statements
• Manage Tax Deducted At Source (TDS) and Goods and Services Tax (GST) compliance
• Review and process Vendor Goods Receipt Notes (GRN)
• Utilize Tally & Quickbooks for accounting tasks
• Generate Management Information Systems (MIS) reports

Senior Accountant Roles and Responsibilities: 

Oversee the reconciliation of all accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance. 

Manage and verify all financial transactions and documentation, including customer bills, vendor GRNs, and bank statements. 

Supervise monthly financial closings, ensuring timely GST & TDS filings. 

Develop and maintain financial dashboards and MIS reports. 

Coordinate with sales, purchase, and inventory teams to ensure seamless financial operations. 

Handle complex financial analysis and reporting, including customer and vendor outstanding tracking. 

Skillset: 

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance 

Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a retail or wholesale environment. 

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks), MS Excel, and financial reporting. 

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks. 

Excellent leadership skills. 

Salary 30,000k - 35,000k pm 

Timing 10.00 - 6.30 

Week off - Sunday
