Job Overview

We are looking for a talented Mechanical Designer to join our team at GOOD FIVE YES JOB CONSULTANCY. As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components and systems for various projects. This is a full-time position based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, and requires 1 to 3 years of experience in the field.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 1 to 3 years of experience in mechanical design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS
• Strong knowledge of new product design and development
• Familiarity with detailing and creating engineering drawings
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for projects
• Create detailed technical drawings and models using AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet project requirements and specifications
• Conduct research and analysis to stay updated with industry trends and advancements
• Perform calculations and simulations to validate design feasibility and optimize performance
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely and accurate production of components
• Assist in the development of new products and improvement of existing designs
• Prepare and maintain documentation, including bills of materials (BOM) and engineering change orders (ECOs)
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and drive innovation
• Adhere to quality and safety standards throughout the design and development process
