Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Civil 2D CAD Draftsman to join our team at GOOD FIVE YES JOB CONSULTANCY. As a Civil 2D CAD Draftsman, you will be responsible for creating accurate technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design software. This is a full-time position based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

Qualifications and Skills

• Junior: 1 to 3 years of experience as a Civil 2D CAD Draftsman
• Proficiency in drafting and creating technical drawings
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and Solidworks software
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles and construction practices
• Attention to detail and accuracy in drawings
• Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks
• Experience in team handling will be an added advantage

Roles and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements and specifications
• Create accurate and detailed 2D CAD drawings and plans for civil engineering projects
• Utilize computer-aided design software, such as AutoCAD and Solidworks, to prepare technical drawings
• Ensure drawings adhere to industry standards and project guidelines
• Revise and update drawings as necessary based on feedback and changes in project requirements
• Collaborate with the project team to resolve design conflicts and issues
• Maintain drawing files and documentation for future reference
• Assist in quantity estimation and material take-offs
• Adhere to project timelines and meet deadlines
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance drafting processes
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all drawings
• Coordinate with other draftsmen and provide guidance as required
