Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Coder - OMR to join our team. This is a mid-level position requiring 4 to 6 years of experience in medical coding. The role is based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India and is a full-time position. As a Certified Medical Coder - OMR, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate coding and documentation, as well as adhering to regulatory guidelines and compliance.

Qualifications and Skills

• Certification as a Medical Coder (CPC or equivalent)
• Proven experience in outpatient coding and evaluation management
• Strong knowledge of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and coding software
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Roles and Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign appropriate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services using coding systems such as CPC, ICD, CPT, and HCPCS
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of coded claims to insurance companies and government agencies
• Monitor coding trends and industry updates to stay informed about changes in coding guidelines
