Key Responsibilities: 

● Minimum 5+ years in Automation testing with good knowledge of Java. 

● Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools, with demonstrated experience in an 

QA/SDET Automation role. 

● Build automation tools and test automation frameworks from scratch. 

● Closely work with Software engineers to understand the application design and 

specifications before designing and developing comprehensive test automation suites 

with thought-through scenarios and test data based on application functionalities. 

● Identify and develop test strategies, plans, and test cases 

● Automate tests using open-source test frameworks 

● Spearhead Automation efforts across multiple projects using the latest test frameworks. 

● Develop reusable cases for test automation and identify new methods for automation. 

● Execute and do failure analysis to compliment manual test team efforts to accomplish 

scheduled release timelines with high quality. 

Required skills & experience: 

● 3+ years of experience building test automation for web using Java and Selenium 

● Strong coding knowledge using Java 

● Should have knowledge on TestNG and Maven 

● 1+ years experience with REST API test automation using languages like JavaScript or 

Python or Java 

● Hands-on in API testing techniques and tools 

● Familiarity and knowledge about CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Gitlab 

● Experience in preparing test data based on the business scenarios and creating tools 

and scripts to manufacture test data. 

● Strong interest in new automation technology and trends with the ability to relate 

concepts to practical application. 

Desirable but not necessary: 

● Experience with BDD tools such as Cucumber or similar. 

● Code coverage concepts 

● Automated test frameworks in any of the following: Linux; CI / CD concepts; Cloud AWS 

/ GCP (Working environments) 

● Passionate about QA Technology, Customer obsession and Product Ownership. 

● Abstract thinking ability and loves dealing with ambiguous/undefined problems. 

● Creativity and initiative to improve product coverage and effectiveness.
