Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced 2D CAD Designer to join our team. The role involves creating detailed technical drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software. The ideal candidate should have 1 to 3 years of experience in 2D CAD design and a strong knowledge of drafting principles and industry standards. This is a full-time position based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in 2D CAD design.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Solid understanding of drafting principles and industry standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Create accurate and comprehensive 2D drawings using CAD software.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to understand project requirements.
• Review and modify existing drawings as per client feedback or design changes.
• Ensure drawings adhere to drafting standards and industry specifications.
• Generate detailed bills of materials and specifications for production.
• Conduct quality checks on drawings to identify and resolve any errors or inconsistencies.
• Maintain a library of design templates and standard components for efficient design processes.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in CAD technology.
• Communicate and coordinate effectively with team members and clients.
