Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Network Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and support of our network infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation and optimal performance. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other team members.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure uptime and reliability
• Configure and maintain network security measures, including intrusion detection systems and access controls
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as software updates, patches, and backups
• Collaborate with other IT staff to support users and resolve technical issues
• Provide technical support and training to end-users as needed
• Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and emergency response

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Proven experience as a network administrator or similar role
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, etc.)
• Experience with network equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, etc.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nagios, SolarWinds)
• Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Network+, etc.) are a plus
