Essential responsibilities and duties
The T&E Program Buyer is responsible for managing interface between program and suppliers for a program with different levels of complexity, including multiple Faurecia plant locations; various start of production dates.
The role of the T&E Program Buyer is to anticipate the specific requirements for new programs in term of tooling and equipment dedicated for our internal production (supplier technologies, geographical location and target costs), ensure the commodity panel strategy is appropriate to support the program, select and pilot suppliers from the agreed supplier panel in order to achieve Program objectives. The T&E Program Buyer is an extension of the program core team.
The main missions of the role are:
o Getting information for T&E scope thru Program Kick Off presentation & T&E List from Program Mfg. Leader.
o Understanding Program Related Tooling & Equipment (T&E) Requirements thru Program Meetings.
o Supplier Panel Selection alignment with Program Technical Team & commodity to decide on Sourcing Strategy.
o Calling Weekly T&E review for Program scope along with PML, Tool-Co & Process expert.
o Alignment with Program Manager, PML & Purchasing Leader for timeline & closure of Program Deliverables-Work packages.
o For critical sourcing arranging technical reviews with PML/Tool-Co/Process Expert to finalize technical scope.
o Request for Quotation RFQs to suppliers & sourcing the T&E scope as per Sourcing Policy decided by Purchasing depending on Commodity, Value & Region.
o Ensuring Letter of Nomination/PO as per Purchasing Policy.
o Tracking supplier deliverables w.r.t. Program need.
o Timely Payment to suppliers as per agreement for jobs completed.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have/be :
Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Nice to have: Professional Purchasing Qualification
Experience :
o 0-3 years experience in an industrial environment
o Experience working in an international environment
Skills and Competencies :
o Knowledge of production launch processes
o Knowledge of supplier cost structures
o Understanding of purchasing commodity strategy
o Fluent English
o Strong written and oral presentation skills
o Good planning, organization and project management skills
o International mindset
o Ability to work in a matrix organization
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of APQP and program management in automotive
- Another language depending on the region
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Results oriented
