Job Overview

We are seeking a talented Junior WordPress Developer to join our dynamic team at Geek Web Solution. This is a full-time position based in Surat, requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience in related fields. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in PHP, JavaScript, and WordPress REST API to deliver high-quality web solutions and meet client needs.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience of at least 1 year with WordPress development, demonstrating the ability to build efficient and scalable web solutions.
• Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, and WordPress REST API for developing custom themes and plugins (Mandatory skill).
• Solid understanding of HTML5 and CSS3 for creating responsive and visually appealing web interfaces.
• Hands-on experience with MySQL for database management and efficient querying techniques.
• Knowledge of WooCommerce for managing and developing e-commerce solutions within WordPress sites.
• Strong familiarity with Git for version control and collaborative development workflows.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills, ensuring high-quality deliverables and troubleshooting issues efficiently.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment, demonstrating effective communication and time management skills.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins to meet client specifications and enhance user experience.
• Integrate and manage various WordPress modules and components to ensure the site's functionality and features align with business objectives.
• Collaborate with designers and developers to implement new features and optimize web applications for performance and scalability.
• Ensure the responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility of web applications through thorough testing and debugging.
• Maintain clear and organized code documentation for ongoing projects and future reference.
• Assist in client meetings to gather project requirements and provide technical advice on improving their web presence.
• Contribute to team knowledge by keeping up with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in WordPress development.
• Actively participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement.
