Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef CDP in Pastry to join our culinary team in Hyderabad. This is a full-time, mid-level position requiring a minimum of 4 years to a maximum of 6 years of work experience in pastries and baking.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in baking (Mandatory skill) with a minimum of 4 years in the pastry section.
- Demonstrated expertise in pastry making (Mandatory skill) with both classic and contemporary techniques.
- Experience in menu development (Mandatory skill) for dessert offerings, ensuring innovation and seasonal variety.
- Strong food presentation skills to ensure visually appealing and high-quality presentation.
- Experience in kitchen management to maintain an organized, efficient, and hygienic working environment.
- Comprehensive ingredient knowledge to select the best foods and supplies.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Effective team leadership to mentor and guide junior kitchen staff, ensuring high performance and morale.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee pastry production and ensure the highest quality standards are maintained consistently.
- Develop and refine menus with innovative and seasonal dessert offerings.
- Coordinate kitchen activities for timely and quality breakfast, lunch, and dinner services.
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.
- Supervise and guide kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations in the kitchen.
- Train and develop junior chefs and kitchen assistants to enhance their skills.
- Collaborate with the head chef to innovate and improve pastry offerings continuously.
