Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Purchase Manager specializing in Pharma chemicals to join our team at Gamut HR Solutions. This full-time, mid-level position is based in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years and a maximum of 6 years of relevant work experience and will be responsible for managing the procurement process effectively.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in Supply Chain Management (Mandatory skill) for at least 4-6 years within the pharma chemical industry.
  • Expertise in Vendor Management (Mandatory skill) including the ability to establish and maintain reliable relationships with vendors.
  • Strong skills in Inventory Management (Mandatory skill) ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained.
  • Proficient in Negotiation techniques to secure favorable terms and pricing from suppliers.
  • Skilled in Cost Analysis for accurately tracking and managing spending to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Experience in Sourcing high-quality pharma chemicals from reliable and reputable suppliers.
  • A solid understanding of Contract Management including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contract terms.
  • Knowledgeable in Quality Control processes to ensure all purchased materials meet the required standards.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire purchasing process, from initial requisition to final delivery of pharmaceuticals and chemicals.
  • Develop and implement strategies for procurement, vendor selection, and supply chain management.
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and evaluate them based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with suppliers to secure the best possible deals.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure optimal performance and address any issues that arise.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure materials are available when needed while minimizing excess stock.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align procurement activities with overall business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards for all purchased materials.
